When entering low carb high fiber products does this app subtract the fiber for net carbs

    No it doesn't. MFP wants you to keep up with your math skills; you need to subtract fiber from your total carbs to get net carbs ones. Easy!

    The carbs vs fiber routine is usually only good for justifying eating high carb foods. Don't believe the nonsense if you eat a g of fiber the g of carbs magically goes away, it doesn't happen that way.

    For many people who track net carbs, a gram of fiber does not have the same effect as a gram of digestible carbs (fber is a type of carbs), e.g., diabetics who need to track their carbs. Because U.S. food labels include fiber in the total carbs, a gram of fiber does make a gram of total carbs "go away" for their purposes.

    OP, if you are using food labels in other countries that already ignore fiber when reporting carbs, you would be double counting if you subtracted fiber from carbs. MFP allows user-entered information in the database, and there's no way that the system can account for net carbs when some entries already reflect net carbs and some don't.
