Men at Work

I'm looking to establish some connections with other males of the species that are trekking through their lives working on weight loss and healthy eating.
I've been working the program for 96 days and today is the first day that the evil eye of the human meat measuring device has read below 300lbs.

I started off reading the "Obesity Code" by Jason Fung and have incorporated his principles into my daily life. Intermittent fasting (I eat one small snack and one main meal a day), no sugar, no artificial sweeteners, no alcohol, no processed food. Lean meats(very little beef, mostly fish and fowl) and steamed fresh vegetables and raw fresh fruits. On this diet I've managed to remain satiated and on track for 96 days and 64lbs so far.

I've read a significant amount of articles here on MFP regarding Dr. Fung and many believe his advice is on par with Satanic teachings. I still subscribe to the science of CICO but the removal of sugar from my diet and intermittent fasting is working for me.

I've managed to get back into my little home gym and back onto my recumbent stationary bike for 20 minutes of pedaling. I've broken my journey into benchmarks, first was getting below 300lbs next is loosing 100lbs total, then 220lbs and finally my goal of 190lbs.

God willing one day at a time I'll get there. I'd would really appreciate hearing your success stories gentlemen.
Regards,
PolarBearBob (PBB)

Wow 64lbs in 96 days, nice going. I've not been quite that successful but I have lost about the same amount over a longer period of time. (Although I've gained 15lbs back from getting complacent!) I also pretty much just stick to CICO. No sense over complicating in IMHO. I try to stay under 2000 calories a day with a lot of cardio (5 mile walk every morning and 30 min spinning in the evening after work) It works for me. The biggest hurdle is just staying at it.
