Hi My name is Lexie. I quit smoking using an app almost a year ago. Then along came some weight on top of some extra weight I was already carrying. So I’m using this app to change the way I think of food, and to get the rest of my life back.

The first covers accurate logging and some of the tools in MFP to help you make things easier. The second discusses caloric needs and setting goals. These are two of the most commonly-referenced threads on MFP; tons of people point to them as being sources of great info when you're just starting out.
