Gained weight on,keto ughhh

I started my diet a week ago .. Immediately I lost 4 lbs been doing the keto diet., woke up this morning and scale says I gained 2 lbs back. However ive been watching my calpries and eating little little carbs., what am I doing wrong

    Assuming your food diary is accurate, you are eating way less than target most days.

    It's not necessarily possible to eat EXACTLY at your calories, but I try to stay +/- 200 each day. Being too far under one day isn't a problem, but being too far under every day is going to stress your body, boost cortisol, and cause inflammation and water retention.

    Also be aware that hormone shifts over the course of your monthly cycle will impact water retention.

    Try taking measurements in several places (bust, ribcage, waist, belly button, hips, biceps, thighs, calf, etc) to also track size changes as an additional set of metrics rather than relying on the scale alone.

    Feed your body adequate nutrition, and be patient.

    Figure a couple pounds and maybe even as much as 4 or 5 to water weight. Gets me every time as well. I focus on low carbs and zero sugar but often miss on sodium intake which makes me bloated and holding water. Hope this helps.
