Insanity calories

Just want to go over this with everyone. I started at a weight of 300lbs. I have completed max30 twice and am currently down to 263lbs. I have been stuck at this weight for about 3 months now. I will admit my tracking has not been spot on. For insanity i want to keep track of my calories better. I have been trying to eat around 1700-1800 a day. But according to insanity i should multiply my weight by 12 and subtract 500. This brings me to 2,663 calories a day. This seems like a bunch of calories to me. Do i need this many? Has my metabolism slowed down due to not eating as much as i should be?

If you ate that number of calories then you wouldn't need to eat back exercise cals.

Up to you if you want to try it. It doesn't seem that unreasonable a number given your stats and how intense insanity is.

MFPs TDEE formula has been pretty spot on in my experience. I would stick with the cals it gives you here.

That said - 1700 calories is super low. I'm 6'1, 253 this morning, moderately active, and with exercise cals (lifting 45 min - I actually lift over an hr but mfp is too generous with exercise cals IMO) I'm eating 2300-2400 a day AT A 1000 CAL DEFICIT. I can't imagine how you are getting by on 1700 at 263, with or without exercise cals.
