Sharing my "Before and After" - Down 55 lbs so far...

I have always been very inspired by the success stories that people share on here, so I thought I would post mine. I still consider myself a work in progress, though. I am 5-6, and my high weight was 203 pounds. Not sure I have a picture of me at that weight, as I did not like being photographed at all. I have lost about 55 lbs now, and would really like to lose about 10 more, but I am not stressing about it. I have maintained this weight for over a year now.

The book that changed my life was "Why We Get Fat and What to Do About It" by Gary Taubes. I know he is considered controversial by some at MFP, but his science made sense to me.

I did virtually no exercise when I was losing my weight, but now I am an exercise junkie. I walk, jog, cycle, and lift heavy weights. I love the way exercise gives me so much energy, and it's nice to be an athlete again (even at over 40 years of age) after years of letting my body do nothing.
