Cardio/Resistance Training

I don’t plan on working out in the gym until I’m out of University for the time being. I have made my own at home workout routine which is a combination of resistance training and cardio. Is it ok if I do 3 days cardio and 3 days resistance training? My resistance training workout is a full body workout. Is it necessary for me to split that workout into upper body/lower body? If so, how would that fit in my schedule? Thanks in advance for the responses!

Full body strength training alternating with "cardio" could be perfectly fine or it might not. Only you know the details that would allow you to make that call. You may even have to experiment to find out for sure.
The answer depends on the intensity of both aspects of your training as well as your goals and capabilities.
"Cardio" could be going for a fast paced walk, running marathons or cycling all day.
It could be for general fitness or training for a specific reason.
For most of the peak cycling months I do no leg strength training at all because my "cardio" is high volume, often very intense, needs muscle recovery time and it's also my priority during the season.

Just want to say that most self-designed strength programs end up imbalanced, so it's best to follow a proven program, or at least use it as a guide, making substitutions as needed. There's a list of programs in the pinned post.1
