Garmin Connect Auto Adjust

Is there a way to have my Garmin NOT give my auto adjust for my calories burned? When I activate for a run or cardio workout, I still want that to upload automatically. I don't want the auto adjust. That's just normal every day activity of what I do, I don't want that to count towards my calories burned.

Either disconnect it from MFP, or go into your MFP exercise diary and manually change the calories burned to 1 (IIRC, it won't allow you to put zero).

I believe there may be a setting in Premium membership which allows you to turn off exercise calorie adjustments - you may want to look into Premium membership to be sure it's one of the listed features though.

Why do you want the exercise data here? You have it in Connect and it actually has some detail there.

Are you trying to get it set so that the individual workouts you log on your Garmin tranfer over to mfp and show up in your diary automatically (with their respective calories burned amounts), but NOT have the line in your diary for all the other activity (which accounts for whatever you have burned over and above whatever your normal daily activity setting is in mfp)?

If so-i don’t believe you have have it synced to upload one type of thing but not another.

If you don’t want exercise calories at all-you can have them not get added to your allowance (on premium) but that would be for your workouts and the normal adjustment line (I think-I’m not premium so I’m not sure-double check before you pay for it).
Other options to keep your workout calories but not include the normal daily adjustment:

You can unlink the accounts and manually add your workouts here.

Delete the automatic daily adjustment entry from your diary. Sometimes it comes back, usually it doesn’t (for me). I have deleted mine by accident several times and it almost never returns (for me).

I do want it to upload what I actually do for a workout, just not the automatic auto adjust. I never did anything to my Garmin when I got it (sometime back in the spring before I started marathon training) it automatically synced it. (At least I don't remember doing anything. I have the Forerunner 35)

I tried doing that yesterday and it wouldn't let me. Then again I also couldn't adjust my water yesterday on the computer. Let me on the phone, just not the computer.

I want to see it on both places. I'm on here more then I look at my connect app. At least I'm trying to be on here more. Trying to get more active again and loose weight. When your clothes don't fit anymore as they are to tight ....

Another workaround is to lower the target calories in MFP by whatever is the average adjustment. That way it actually kind of works to your advantage because on days when you walk more you get a few more calories in your allowance.
