Sometimes the pic does that on MFP.1

I'm pretty new too. The first week I just ate "normally" and logged my food. It gave me a good idea of how many calories I was regularly consuming so that I could make a realistic target. It also helped me get in the habit of logging which I still find a bit hard.
One other thing I checked was the nutrition info and found that I'm probably not getting enough iron or calcium. Very useful app!0
