Ways to expedite water-weight loss?

- Reducing the calories + reducing carb intake + reducing sodium intake
- Upping the water intake
- Exposing oneself to warm/hot environment (sun/sunbathing, sauna, etc.)
- Working out/being more active (walking, etc.)
- Sleeping decently
- Caffeine/Stevia (both - diuretics)
- Also eating less volume-wise (i.e. do not stuff yourself with konjac/etc. or cabbage - can retain water)
(- maybe also cut processed sugars)
Am I missing anything? For example, the third point was new to me when I have discovered it recently

Why? Water weight is temporary, sure there are some things you can do to influence it but I typically just ride it out since the water weight doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.15
-
What is the point of this? Water weight fluctuates all the time - I might drop 1.5lbs today but if I hit the gym tomorrow it will come right back...12

Or just stay on track and wait it out. Your goal is, I assume, to lose fat rather than water.8

Yes, you missed something... doing all of that is completely unnecessary Just let your body do it's job(s).5
-
And BTW, adding/increasing workouts typically results in more water retention, not less.5

as for exposing yourself to heat what you lose you should replenish as you lose electrolytes as well and doing this to an extreme can lead to very serious health issues. caffeine is not as much as a diuretic as one may think(never heard of stevia beng one)
and as for working out/being more active than can increase water retention which is needed to help repair the muscles.

Why on Earth would you want to dehydrate yourself? People are usually doing the opposite.
If your body has stored excessive water, it is because it needs it to function properly.
Focus on fat. Not on water.10 -
also how can cabbage make you retain more water when its mostly water?0

Unless it's a temporary measure to cut weight to meet a weight division for a competition then it's completely pointless.13

If you are retaining water, it’s because you’ve done something that requires your body to increase water volume to heal/fix/cool/etc. itself.
In addition to missing the idea that your body is holding water because it needs to in order to fix (from a health standpoint) whatever was done to it, heat and humidity are a cause of water retention (that whole body trying to cool itself so you don’t die thing).

Low carb = lower insulin levels = lower water retention. You'll lose electrolytes too though so you';; eventually need to supplement with sodium. Not replacing lost sodium can be dangerous.11

Some people need to lose excess water weight - these are people with renal or cardiac problems who are on prescription diuretics like frusemide.
I guess some people want to in order to temporarily bring their weight down for sports competition weight divisions.
Everyone else - do nothing.4 -
OP, you need professional help. Your posts are full of red flags for body image issues, disordered eating, etc. You're a full grown man who weighs 135 @ 5'10" and has a goal of "just short of anorexic." You're trying to lose water weight and asking questions like how many calories does drinking cold water burn. See a doctor. Your mind is not right. This is so unhealthy and you clearly don't see it.26

Lol, true. Don't forget the "chewing gum calories". :-(1 -

And even then you wouldn't be risking sunbathing (sunburn tends to causes water retention) or DOMS from working out more.2 -
Op not trying to be rude here. but giving out bad advice is not a good idea. and if what the posters above say about your other posts. maybe its best to worry about your health first and foremost. The "advice" you gave could pose deadly to some people who actually attempt to do these things. I honestly think this post needs closed to be honest.6
