Easy. Fried potatoes. I peel and cube them, dry them with a towel, toss them in a bag with flour and spices. Actifry with a tablespoon of oil.
If you want, do the same thing with sweet potatoes.1 -
I love my air fryer.
It's great for rendering off subcutaneous fat so wings and other skin on chicken comes out with papery thin skin. Ditto scored duck breasts. For skin on fish fillets I like to air fry about 3 minutes on high skin side up. Then peel off skin with tongs and lay it beside the fish to serve as a crispy crackling. Do use your sense of smell because you might need to pull out the skin before the fish is done.
I make roast Sunday dinner in the air fryer. Peel potatoes, boil two minutes, drain, return to dry pan and shake vigorously with any fat (duck fat is amazing). Oil and season a roasting joint of beef or half a leg of lamb and put at the bottom of air fryer and scatter potatoes around. Air fry at 200C for 30 or 40 minutes. Medium rare is internal temperature of 57C. Continue to cook potatoes while meat rests 15 minutes covered in foil before carving.
I almost never use the oven any more because the air fryer is more energy efficient and doesn't heat up the kitchen.
Top tips: Buy an instant read thermometer to take the guesswork out of cooking meat. They cost about 10 bucks and take about as much storage space as a fork. Buy a piece of silicon mesh (sold for lining dim sum baskets or to prevent BBQ food from falling through grates) and cut it to side to line the air fryer. Nothing sticks to the silicon mesh.5 -
I have a Phillips model, and they sell a perforated flat pan where it is easier to fit a small casserole dish into the air fryer. I make lasagna, clafoutis, gratin dauphinoise in those little glass casserole dishes.
It's also great for doing roast vegetables. Broccoli, carrots, courgettes, tomatoes.

I make dishes which call for deep fried veg such as Di San Xiang in the air fryer. Toss the veg in oil in a plastic bag and air fry.

I spirilize Zuchhinis and chop mushrooms and airfry them until the zuchhini noodles becomes crisp and dark. I then add Ceyenne Pepper on it for additional taste. It is so yum!5

I use the air fryer for literally everything! Just crisped up some dark meat turkey with skin in the air fryer and got it super crispy as well as drained some of the fat/ oil in the process!2
