I lost over 20 pounds in the past several months, and I've gained 2.5 of it back, in the past month which is horrifying, lemme tell ya, especially given the fact that I have to eat 1,200 calories to lose LESS than a pound a week WITH a moderate amount of exercise. This is some gd bs.
Oh well. Might as well try to lose even more. 100 is a nice, round number. xx

2.5lbs sounds like a normal fluctuation.

You need a maintenance range not a single number

I agree with TavisockToad, and also, make sure you are eating well. 1200 doesn't matter if it's garbage. Add tons of fiber and veggies. Everyone plateaus, gains, and loses. Shake things up. If I eat consistently 1200 calories, I lose weight for about 5 days and then my body gives up. Try calorie cycling. Sometimes a bit higher, and some days as low as 1200.

Nope. 1200 cals of cake will have the same effect from a weight loss point of view.
