Gained weight need help

Hello! I was on the low carb diet in January and lost a good amount of weight. Over the summer I started slacking off and wasn’t as strict, and now I’ve gained back 10 lbs but more importantly I’ve gained inches on my waist. Does anyone have tips on how to get back to ketosis and lose the weight?

Well to get into ketosis you need to cut out the carbs.
To lose weight you just need a calorie deficit.12 -
Eat fewer calories than you burn.
If you find ketosis is helpful with that and you want to live that way long term, then get back into your former way of eating. If you find you'd rather include a greater variety of foods in your life, then just focus on a calorie deficit.7 -
I've never been in ketosis, but If that's how you want to lose weight, I'd suggest start logging your food, see where all your carbs are coming from, and then strategize how to change those meals/snacks to make them keto compliant.
But if you don't see yourself eating keto the rest of your life, you might want to consider trying a different way to eat slightly lower calorie, so you don't gain 10 lbs back every time you aren't super strict. With only 10 lbs to lose, you only want a small deficit anyway.5 -
Similar situation as me, gaining 10, and now it's looking like it. I've heard that doing a 24 hour fast (just water) can get you back into ketosis quickly, and then you could continue eating as you were in January. (Do some research on it!)
Or just eat as you were in January for 3-5 days. Should be enough to get you going again. Lots of plants to keep you full!!11 -
