Need to get myself moving more and eating better. 48 year old mother of 2 teenagers. Divorced and remarried last year. My husband is very active and loves to work out---me not so much. I would like to be healthier and more fit. Luckily, I have never been very overweight -but I would benefit from losing about 15 lbs. I want to get back on track. Espeicially with getting a bit older and hormonal changes- I dont want to go into menopause overweight. I am currently commuting 3 hrs per day 4 days per week. I need help with making the time to work out. We have a gym a few blocks away from my office -but I have yet to join. The concept of working out during lunch is a bit difficult for me to wrap my arms around. I may try to leave office early and play squash at our home courts. I am pretty good about eating healthy-but need more structure. My downfall is wine on the weekends I would like to find other women in this group that have similar struggles. It is hard to see stick thin models working out and telling me what to do . I would like a positive "real life" woman role model to help empower an overall lifestyle change.

Hi there. Part time working mum of 2 teenagers here also! 50, perimenopausal and now on HRT! Looking to loose about 10 pounds, which I’ve been talking about doing forever since second baby (now 14), occasionally starting to do something about, and never succeeding (so far...maybe this time!). I’m quite active but need to watch my calories more...particularly on office days. Gosh I do feel for you with that long commute. I too find it hard to workout at lunch times..a) too busy; b) what to do with post-workout hair in the afternoon and c) would prefer to leave earlier to get home to start on dinner. Just wanted to say hi and wish you luck!0
