Hey everyone! I've been flirting with fitness for years but some mental blocks really kept me down. I'm conscious of them now and feel like I've conquered them...?
I'm at the point in my fitness journey where I feel like I've got going to the gym 5 days a week down and normalized, but I'm just doing the same thing every day (20 mins cardio and like 20-40 mins strength training). I feel like I haven't focused enough on HIIT and body weight exercises, it kinda scares me to be honest.
I also have been slacking on nutrition. I gave up dairy about 7-8 years ago and feel good about that, but I'm ready to go more heavily plant-based. I love cooking and new recipes.
I feel very stuck in my weight loss. I think I've lost about 30 lbs over the course of 5 years, but am ready to get more serious about the last 20. I feel like my major issue is just not having a support system. None of my friends are interested in fitness and nutrition so I'm embarrassed to talk about it and want to have people to work out with, share recipes, and get excited and nerdy about our bodies!
Basically, I've been moderately successful on my own, but I'm ready to take it up to the next level and I need support from the likeminded! Excited to say hi!
