Hi, I'm Denise H I have been the same (over) weight for over a year. I have gained steadily through the past 5 yrs and cannot shed it. I'm always game in trying a different tactic or get back to the drawing board. So, here I am.
My goal is to follow the recommendations here, esp with the fat; protein; and carb breakdown.

The first covers accurate logging and some of the tools in MFP to help you make things easier. The second discusses caloric needs and setting goals. These are two of the most commonly-referenced threads on MFP; tons of people point to them as being sources of great info when you're just starting out.
