How does MFP calculate your daily calorie burn ?

Hello,
I have a problem with negative adjustments. my tracker is always 200-300 calories behind MFP and always count me a few hundred negative calories per day.
But when I try to calculate the number of calories burned per day, my numbers are quite different.
MFP tells me that I burn 2282 calories a day (without counting exercises), but my BMR is around 1820 calories. Where does this 2282 number come from? My tracker counts steps and exercises but still always behind MFP. I put sedentary as profile and add manually all exercises that I do.
