Personally monthly is how I go.

Go with what you consider is good for you.

Personal preference. If you want to weigh daily then use a weight trending app. They really help put all the fluctuations in perspective. Libra for android, Happy Scale for Iphone, and Trendweight for pc.

If that still messes with your head then go weekly. I recommend taking pictures and measurements either way. I found them very helpful.

Daily and automatically updates everything. I use trendweight more than anything when I want to look at it.

I 'record my weight' once a day when I get up at the same point in my morning routine.
I 'weigh in on MFP' once a week. This is an average of the 7 weights I recorded during the week.

That said, I'll do jump on the scales several time a day, but none of those are recorded or even paid any mind. For example I'll hop on when I get home from work and get changed to see how my weight compares to the official weight I recorded in the morning and I tend to step on the scales last thing before going to bed at night so I can see the next morning how my weight changes while I'm asleep at night.

Pretty much any time I'm in the bathroom in a suitable state of undress I'll jump on just because I'm curious and a bit of a data nerd. I also have zero emotional attachment to the number on the scale so don't get upset in the slightest if I see the number go up. It's all just statistics and data to me, useful information I can use to my advantage.

"Better" depends upon your personal preference. I prefer to weigh daily (every morning, no clothes, after going to the bathroom) and log my weigh-ins in a weight trending app.

Here's a great, thought provoking discussion of it: https://bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/of-bmi-and-weighing-frequency.html/

I second everything @AnnPT77 said! Weighing daily and logging it into Happy Scale has given me a much better understanding of my weight fluctuations and makes it way less stressful/demotivating when the scale goes up.

Personally, weighing once a week just isn’t enough data for me to feel like I really understand the progress I’m making and it’s more likely I will get frustrated with the numbers on the scale.

I gave up weighing for a while. I get to obsessive with it. Its been over a month since I stepped on the scale. Math says I should be losing. My clothes don't feel tight so I say its working. Its all personal preference and what will help you succeed. Good luck!!
