Breastfeeding while trying to gain weight

Hi, I’m 5’3 128 and want to be 170. I’m tired of being called skinny, boney, etc. I’m still breastfeeding 7m post partum and I’m eating 2,100+ a day. I have broad shoulders so my top half doesn’t match my lower. Am I able to go straight into the bulking stage? If you pictures I’m willing to share.

You are currently at a healthy weight. Gaining to 170 would put you in the obese category. I would rethink your goals. If you are very lean (20% bodyfat or under) then you can run a bulk but I would take it slow and steady, and not gain too much in one go. Otherwise maybe think about recomping.. eating at maintenance and lifting.

Take it slowly by slowly. Maybe from 128 to 135 first. Do what makes YOU happy not people. Gaining 170 will give them another reason to fat shame you. People have called me different names. When I was 54kgs people were saying am to bony and too skinny and now am 63kgs and still people say am too skinny. The fact is people will still find something to talk about. It is okay to gain weight but don't do it for them. My current goal is 66kgs and I eat 2,200 calories while doing at home butt exercises. And that is making me gain weight. Since you already have big shoulders, do lower body workout for the butt and legs. Share some pictures

    170lbs would make you overweight?
