Lean bulking questions

I’m a 19 year old female and my height is 5’8 and I used to weigh 115lbs but now I weigh 123 since I’m trying to bulk and build muscle. I wasn’t tracking my calories during this time since I have an unhealthy past relationship with it but I feel like I’m ready again. So I’m gonna start eating 2300 calories. I lift 5x a week and aim to do 2 hours of cardio per week. Does this sound like a good lean bulk plan? I don’t wanna gain excess unnecessary fat

Best thing to do is track your weight and adjust as necessary. In order to keep fat gains minimal, gain no more than 0.5lb per week (keep in mind you may have an initial jump in water weight when you start), also make sure you are following progressive programming and getting adequate protein.

If 2300 is a small surplus for you then yes, sounds good

Hey there, In my experience I find focusing on my macros vs. calorie intake has produced better results. At least for me. That being said; expect to gain some fat. It's just part of the process. Bulk / cut, rinse / repeat. I'm just coming off my bulk, 12 weeks, and I put on about 20 lbs, and I'll cut 15 of those lbs off. Keep in mind, i'm a dude, and that will skew the numbers a bit.

What's your weekly work out look like?
