Started Saxenda a week ago. Just went up to 1.2 yesterday. Fatigue, malaise and horrible GI upset - diarrhea with gas and bloating. Will these subside with time? Help! It works but these side effects are horrible.

I took it for about 9 months. I was always tired, and it seems like I was constantly getting sick and having stomach issues. I stopped back in March.

Why are you taking something that makes you so ill? If I were you I would stop right now. Losing weight should not make you sick.

Yes indeed, can take up to 47 weeks (in some references I've read regarding this topic) for tolerance to nausea to develop; in many ways, this is partly what makes liraglutide effective for weight loss (as well as slowing gastric emptying). 1 week at a time for titration as tolerated (0.6mg increase per week up to 3mg/MAX)...had this one woman accidentally poison herself after discontinuing liraglutide, then restarting @ 1.8mg/day.

Definitely consult Endo if experiencing hoarseness/trouble swallowing. Might want to consider backing down to 0.6mg if intolerant after 1 dose increase

If only phen/fen wasn't bad for the heart...I loved that stuff. I've given up on weight loss drugs.
