I've done this weight loss thing countless times, only once did it work well and that was when i stayed true to logging on myfitnesspal. Needless to say i sabotaged myself tremendously with binge eating. I really need friends on here who will understand me. I don't want someone that will try to sell me shakes or pills. I just really need people that are encouraging, we can help keep each other accountable or just uplift eachother in our times of frustration and need. I have around 100 lbs to lose, im going to try my hardest to lose it at a healthy pace with diet and exercise. Please feel free to add me on here :)

Mamakatiekat: I know your pain. I have lost hundreds of pounds in my lifetime and gained it back. I am now on my journey to lose 97 lbs. I have been on the journey since Feb 2018 and have managed to lose 72 lbs so far. I can tell you a trick about this time that I didn't do in the past. I went to a Bariatric MD and without drugs or surgery, they started me on a lifestyle change plan that really makes eating less and making better choices a lot easier. Journaling is essential, as what you eat can increase undetected if you don't account for everything you eat. On the days you do go over, be sure to enter it all, so you can see where the problem items are and what you can substitute to be as satisfied. Example, I am a sweet desert person. I love candy too. I turned to the sugar free werthers and only allow myself half of the serving size per day. I eat one after lunch, one after dinner, and one before I got to bed. As for an ice cream desert, I use a Danon 80 cal greek yogurt (strawberry shortcake is my favorite)and cover it with 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries. That I can eat as a breakfast, or a desert. When my family was chowing down on pumpkin pie at thanksgiving, I was getting my protein packed sugarfree yogurt and fresh fruit on. Another tip, if you are a fast food person, is to go to a fast food place and order health items. Most people go to the fast food more for the convenience than the food. So this way you can keep the convenience and still eat healthy. As you get more accustom to this, you can also adapt it to go out to restaurants and make good choices. Hope this helps. Good luck on your journey.

It depends on what you consider motivation and accountability. A lot of people do the "like" thing and read your updates in their feed. If you're looking for something beyond that, like pming to check in a couple times a week or something more to keep in touch it might be asking for a bit much.
