Preggers and Exercising

Was just curious: what is a common exercise routine during pregnancy?
I’ve been trying to keep up with my elliptical, but on a lesser scale. It always leaves me lightheaded and dizzy, however. I have my smaller weights that I do some arm exercises with in the morning, but feeling at a loss on the cardio scale.
Haven’t talked with my dr about it yet, but I do realize dizziness is common. I miss my cardio, however.

I'd wait until I talk to my doctor. Generally it's ok to continue at the fitness level you were at before pregnancy. Are you eating enough to fuel your workouts?0

Best to hold off until you've had a chance to talk to your doctor. There can be a few underlying causes that can possibly be addressed, or just pregnancy weirdness. Maybe try a lower intensity exercise in the meantime to see if you're able to tolerate that without dizziness.1

Yes, I’ve tried lowering it to a slow pace that barely gets my heart rate up, but for a longer stretch of time. Hasn’t helped.
Just thought I’d reach out on here looking for experiences and suggestions. Overall, I’ll see what the doc says about it and lay off til then, I think.

Ugh, I had dizziness when pregnant - even fainted on the train to work (busy morning commuter train). Was rather embarrassing to be met at the other end by an ambulance team!!
Anyway, mine was put down to low blood sugar and low blood pressure...I was pretty much told to eat more frequently and drink plenty. And to take it easy, watch carefully when exercising.
Definitely worth having a chat with the doc and seeing if there is any cause for concern, but probably just part of the fun of pregnancy. Kids - trouble from the start!!!1 -

Oh how scary! Luckily, have avoided fainting in public, but have had a couple spells at home. Doc chalked it up to low blood sugar, so that’s when I upped my food intake. Morning sickness has made it hard to maintain food intake..! Lost 12 pounds in the first trimester. Have been doing better this second trimester, but barely maintaining my weight.1
