Naproxen used for sorting out tennis elbow years back but can it be used for DOMS when it’s very bad

Yes, it's a NSAID, so it will work.

    Sounds like a lat strain?

I had one a few months ago and it took six weeks (about) to heal. I took NSAIDs sparingly and did a lot of roller work on the floor.

Apparently six to eight weeks healing time is typical according to Dr Google.

I usually stretch after my workout, then ice whatever feels sore. If I'm sore another day, then I'll do heating pad and more stretching. I only take ibuprofen (but naproxen is ok for others) if the soreness keeps me from normal daily activities.
