Hello! I'm a couple weeks into making healthy, sustainable lifestyle changes including diet and moving more. I feel great and have already lost ten pounds. I want to keep the momentum going but know if I want lasting results and change, I need support and accountability. Is there anyone in wanting similar support? I would love to connect, check in daily or every couple days with
goals, struggles, motivation, tips, etc. I'm 35, a mom of 3 (including a toddler!), RN working part time nights. I need to lose about 85-100 pounds in a healthy and moderate way and just need accountability to get through the ups and downs of this journey.

Welcome! First, thanks for being a nurse. You have an incredibly important job.

Sounds like you're doing great. Congrats on the 10 pound loss. I have about 50 to lose so I understand your desire for accountability. You can find a lot of help here. Take a look at some of the forum topics and add friends as you're comfortable.

Welcome! I am a mom, too, and am partway through a journey to lose 125 pounds.
You might consider an MFP group I am part of:
    https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/114605-f2f-weight-loss-challenge-and-support-group

We have daily check-ins (how are you doing on your plan for yourself as regards food, water, exercise), weekly weigh-ins (you pick the day) that are then tallied to see which team did best this week (there are 5 teams that average something like 30 people each). We don't get too competitive; it's just for the accountability. There are also optional challenges, and lots of support (what's going well? where are you struggling).

I've had a fabulous experience with this group, and you'd be welcome to join!

Hi Austin, Is that open to men as well? Is it a support group for a particular plan?

Welcome! More support and encouragement is always helpful when dealing with these kinds of goal..!

I’m 31, mom to a spunky 4 year old boy and half way through my pregnancy with a little girl.

Would love to connect and give encouragement!

For sure! I've tried making changes so many times, and I'm now just realizing that the reason I've failed in the past is because I refused to acknowledge that I need support and accountability. Stubborn pride!

I have 3 girls (8, 6, and 2) and they are my biggest motivators to making a healthy lifestyle change. Congratulations on your upcoming addition!
