So what happened? Been trying to get out of depression and finally find a properly paid job again for nearly three years. Sorted out part 1, oddly enough not by my dream trip to a place in the Brazilian jungle, nor visiting various Utah national parks but by seeing my favourite band finally play again.

Decided to see them play again in the Netherlands. Guess what: Two days before that I was asked by a Dutch company to come by for a second job interview and so I combined both, and ended up with a job offer. :o

Anyway, I moved over about 5 weeks ago, and since then I can't stop snacking. Partly because paprika crisps! Liquorice! Certain cookies! Filet Americain! Lots of other great stuff. Partly because I'm so tired, and I tend to not snack if I work out but just don't have the energy for that at the moment. Partly due to being bored because I do miss mountains or other nice things to do during weekends. But yeah, getting out of Brexit Britain and finally getting a properly paid job was more important than great landscapes I guess.

So: Hello all! Lets take responsibility again! And btw, I'm going to bed now to finally get a bit more sleep.

Hi, welcome back and congrats on getting your depression under control, and the new job.

Oh, the Netherlands are going to feel so strange after the years you have spent in Scotland, I am sure you will adjust back pretty quickly.

Start counting again, if you stopped, but be easy on yourself during your job/country change.

You know how to do it.

    Cheers, h.

yes, I'll start counting again from tomorrow - I didn't write down my 2nd breakfast and lunch for today as I was out of bed too late. But at least my breakfast, oats with skyr, raisins and random fruit is still the same. I think I need to buy a new foodscale though as it constantly flips between two following numbers, like 39 and 40 for my oats. Might not have survived the move after all.

Other than that: I miss a thick piece of crispy breaded fish out of my oven! All I can get here are thin pieces of battered fish, soaked in fat :'( Or a good British sausage with high meat, low other stuff content. Those were my I don't feel like cooking dinners: whack in oven dish with potatoes or sweet potatoes, big pile of veggies, bit of oil and coarse salt, serve with ketchup, feta, tsatsiki or hummus.

Ok, time to start tracking again. Got my breakfast, my lunch (not sure yet how many calories, but will figure out tonight)... and I forgot to take my dinner out of the freezer. Oh well... I'm still very tired. Yesterday I grabbed the bread endpieces instead of my sandwich. Wanted to use the ends for putting shoarma on. So my lunch was whatever I found in the office.

Even good change is tough. You'll stabilize and find your groove soon enough! Hang in there!

Getting there! managed to stay within/just below my maintenance calories over the weekend. I snacked, but more mindfully. That's something. Need to find proper food options for work though: the ham with 10kcal per slice I had in the UK doesn't exist here, and all sliced meat is far thicker. I now found thinly sliced turkey that might come in at similar calories, but it's not cheap. All not overly processed food is ridiculously expensive anyway. I can get marinated or spiced meat for cheap, schnitzels, fish burgers, or crisps and sauces and marinades. Meh! Fresh veggies and just raw fish are ridiculously expensive.

Update: bought a new food scale as my trustworthy one finally died after nearly 5 years. I think it didn't fully survive my last international move as it would switch between two weights, often about 10gr apart. Fixed it for a few days by putting something heavy on it first, but even that didn't work anymore on Monday. Oh well... can't help it. Time for a new one then. Which wasn't quite that easy as the Soehnle brand quite common here uses button batteries you can't really get here. Finally found something else, and now I have a scale in my kitchen that is as green as the grass in my avatar :D

Still no sport as the move and new desk/chair caught up with me and I needed a neck/back massage yesterday.
