Do you say hi to others while running

It seems as though there are two types of runners:
The first is the friendly runner. This runner says hi (or at least acknowledges passerbyers with a nod and perhaps a smile) to everyone they pass.
Then there are the don't talk to me runners. These runners pass by others without so much as a glance at the passing party.
Which are you?
I am definitely the second type. If I pass someone while running, I will stare intently ahead and absolutely refuse to make any eye contact whatsoever. Unless that other person is also running. Then I'll fix up my running form, wipe all trace of exhaustion off my face, and perhaps grant them a small nod

I give a quick wave a smile and if I've seen them before i grunt out Good Morning.
Now if they are walking a dog I must cross the street before the dog sees me and wants to taste my skin!0 -
I say hi to everyone, every where I go. It annoys the crap out of my kids.0

The second. I don't even want to nod unless I absolutely have to.1 -
I'm the friendly runner, blame it on my Southern upbringing. If they don't acknowledge me I don't care.
I acknowledge and wave at cars that give me room to run, which isn't many people. I've ditch dived a time or two.
