What’s your favorite Christmas Cookie? Do you have any traditional ones you make every year? What’s the story behind your tradition? Do you want to try something new or stick with tried and true?

We make cutouts every year, since I was a child. My kids don’t really like them but we have fun decorating them.

They are so addictive, just a hint of sweet and that frosting gets a super thin layer of crystallized sugar so when you bite into the cookie its like *slight* resistance and then soft smooth frosting and the cookie itself is slightly underbaked so there are no crumbs, it just.. yields when you bend it into your

They are so good!! Roll them out kinda thin because they raise quite a bit. And a single batch makes like 17,000 cookies so make a weekend of it

Don’t roll them too thin. Nobody wants a frosted cracker!

They don’t become crackers when you only bake them for 60 seconds

But this could explain why the yield is so high 🤔

I made some Italian cookies, pizzelle chocolate pizzelle, thumb print jam, wedding cookies like the Russian tea cakes, cannoli, almond frosted, and then the colored cookies last year everyone liked, and the cutouts so the kids could play....plus chocolate chip only with red and green mini m&ms, oatmeal with macadamian nuts, white choc. and craisens and my favorite chocolate dipped macaroons...😋 don't get started on the other pasties I make...I have to start the week before, but it's tradition....
    yea tradition!😒😴

Among some other things... I love cookies, they’re my favorite food group 😂😋

Almond balls, Hershey blossoms, and Rugelach. My favorite are the joy of cooking peanut butter cookies... I have a pretty good sugar cookie and chocolate chip recipe too!

Favorite Christmas cookie is a German cookie called Florentiner Törtchen. They're like...this butter cookie with candied cherries and almonds/hazelnuts made into a toffee on one side...then chocolate painted on the other.
SO GOOD! But...good Lord...so much work to make.

If I'm looking for easy to make and tasty every time, that's sugar cookies (frosted-the Lofthouse copy cat cookies) or molasses crinkles. :)
