Hi guys,
I’ve had a career change and taken up the chef life since last year, it’s obviously long hours and most days no breaks but how do fellow chefs stay fit and on a program? I know discipline is obviously something we follow day to day but when I used to follow programs I worked in an office so it was easy for me to eat set times and hit the gym. After a year of doing nothing and it getting cold I really want to optimise the time I do have to be productive outside the kitchen and get in the best shape of my life. Constant tastings make me not hungry and when I get home I bathe and bed. Advice needed!

I went to the gym after work. Then again I was in pastry for a bit and had early hours.

I stayed on track by not eating what I was making. I stuck to the plan as best as possible.

I own a sweets shop and am the culinary director. I actually taste and spit often. Otherwise I would probably consume a couple extra hundred calories a day. I also squeeze in gym time and hike/snowshoe/backpack when I can.

In this job there just isn't any time. So I work hard and squeeze in workouts whenever I can.

Make time for exercise. If your job controls your schedule and you want to follow an exercise program/ routine, then it just comes to you making the time. Workouts don’t have to be long either for effectiveness
