My gymnastics rings came in! I don't have a dip station, could I go straight from bench dips to ring dips?

You can! Just be prepared to only be able to do about half of what you can on regular dips on the rings. And on rings, they are much more tricep focused as you have to stay more upright.

Wait....when you say bench dips, do you mean the kind where you have your feet on the ground and put your arms behind you on a bench and lower your butt? Those are more tricep focused which is good, but a completely different movement pattern than bar dips. It might be more of a learning curve to transfer to the rings. Be careful of your shoulders.

Edit - start with just holding yourself with straight arms extended for as long as you can. It will take a while to build up those stabilizer muscles.

Yes, those bench dips. I didn't dips for a long time and recently started again. I'm using this for progressions http://www.startbodyweight.com/p/dip-progression.html?m=1
And I'm on the 3rd progression and moving pretty quickly though it.
