Long story... So here is the short version. This year has been a struggle. No gym at all. Previously workout everyday for 1.5 hours alternating upper/lower with cardio.
I have lost muscle mass and I have sagging skin. I am working on changing my schedule so I can get back to the gym. No more excuses. My question is how long will it take to regain my muscle mass and tone up? I know Rome was not built in a day. It took years to get in the shape I was in and I was very healthy as well. I know it will take work however will I ever get back there??

No way to know how long it will take. Use a proven progressive lifting program, eat adequate protein and keep at it. Good luck!

1.5 hour workouts EVERY day previously? Did you take any rest days? Guess that doesn't matter now. But, I'd suggest not jumping right back into that schedule or even make that a goal. Ease into it and make sure you give yourself adequate rest time.

There's no way of knowing now quickly your strength will come back but it will. Maybe not to the exact degree as before because our bodies are constantly changing but just start with workouts that are enjoyable and sustainable for you.
