My treadmill has died. Just as I get back in to a routine of walking again my treadmill died this morning. I'm looking for suggestions for brands/models to look at so I can buy a new one. I don't need one with all the bells and whistles, just something moderately priced to get me through the winter months. I just want something to use 4-5 days per week for walking...no real plans to run. My knee can't handle that. Please share any suggestions.

Check out the reviews on treadmilldoctor.com. Also check on Craiglist (or other local sales) for used ones.

I got a Gold's Gym model from Walmart. It has incline up to 10% and the base lifts up and is held in place with a pin to give you more floor space when not in use.

I liked the pro form treadmill I purchased from them online. It’s been doing well for me. It’s basic but sturdy.

I have a NordicTrack I got from Sears. I like it. It's replacing an older NT that I used for years.

I have a ProForm 600i that I also bought online. I love it so far. The incline goes up to 12. I also just use mine mostly for walking, a little slow jogging, but that's about all I can manage. There are honestly so many good treadmills out there, I had a hard time choosing. This one was on sale in February, which is why I got it.

I would like a treadmill that I can program a bit more than most. There was one I was looking at, but the app has such low ratings I figured why bother (AFG treadmill).

I'd like to be able to plan my speed changed, inclines etc. and create a weekly schedule for this time of year when the white stuff is on the ground. And have it simple enough that my wife can do her walk/run progression the same.

Found out last night that trying to do 10K on a treadmill at the gym is a problem as it wants to shut off after an hour, there is no 10K option and it takes me about 5 minutes longer than that for 10K. So I either have to speed up, or do two 5K's with a break in between or figure out how to run on ice.

I have a life Fitness T3 and have been very happy with it. It has some preprogramed trails in it and I've had it for 2 years now. I walk outside more often than in but it works well when I use it.

I have a ProForm 300i. It's one of the cheaper ones out there, but the killer (for me) is the fact that the track width is only 18". But it is good if you don't have much space to work with.
