    I you look on the Getting Started board, right at the top you will see a thread for hooking up with a mentor (someone well experienced with MFP who is willing to guide Noobs) You can read profiles of potential mentors, looking for someone who you think will be a good fit for you - there are guidelines about how to connect - and a cross-thread for noobs to post what they need.
