I have gained over 40 pounds while pregnant and others are saying once you breastfeed you lose the weight well nope I've gained. So what are some healthy foods to eat that will help and also won't hurt my supply?

eat whatever you like, just eat in a calorie deficit.
a lot of people eat in maintenance and let the breastfeeding create the deficit.0 -
I’m breastfeeding as well.
You’ll need to still eat around 1800 calories (don’t quote on that, please check with your DR or lactation consultant!) to support breastfeeding.
Unfortunately, you can also just not lose weight breastfeeding too. Which is where I’m a bit stuck at the moment. Slowly Weaning now we’ve done 20months of breastfeeding.
What to focus on is you’ll find after a breastfeed you will be ravenous. It takes a lot of energy and calories Breastfeeding, so it’s so easy to go crazy and eat everything in sight. Try replacing these foods with prepared fresh snacks, like carrot sticks, 1-2 serves of nuts, or fruit of your choice. Something dense but healthy. Drink of water to try counteract the hunger while feeding, it should help reduce the ravenous desire to eat.
But ultimately, I’d engage a doctor or LC first if you can, especially if not disrupting supply is important. Make sure that you have all the info you need from a professional that will help your supply and weight loss.
Good luck!0
