Thoughts on higher calorie days

Lately I’ve been reading that works for some people is to stick to a consistent calorie deficit through out the week and in the weekend have higher calories has anyone tried this?

Many people do. The idea is to carefully record and keep track of your calorie budget, and plan to have an overall deficit weekly or monthly.

I've followed a weekly calorie goal for five years. So some days are higher and some lower and it balances out. I've had no problems losing or maintaining this way. It's actually made things quite easier. Plenty of people specifically bank calories for the weekend as well.

You can use a weekly calorie goal rather than a daily one. Keep in mind that the scale may go up temporarily after your larger meal due to water fluctuations and/or the weight of the extra food in your digestive tract.
