Snacking and calories!

So myfitnesspal has calculated my calorie intake to be 1430 but I always seem to go over this! There are times when I don't but it's more likely that I do and it really gets me down as I want to lose weight.
Also I can do really well all day and then at night it all goes down hill because I get hungry in the evenings a few hours after dinner or so and end up snacking. Sometimes it's something healthy like a yoghurt bowl and sometimes it's chocolate and crisps but it always sets me over my calories if they aren't over anyway!
Please help!

Can you:
-adjust what foods you eat for dinner, to help keep you fuller longer?
-push your dinnertime back a bit so there's less time in between dinner & bed, so you don't get that snack attack?
-cut some (maybe 100-200) cal throughout the day in your other meals so that you can have a small snack before bed?
-etc etc etc...other strategies?
Sometimes when I get "hungry" right after dinner, I know it's more of a habit and my family eating dessert etc - I'll go distract myself completely (read a book, whatever), or, to make it less desirable to put food in my mouth, I'll immediately go brush my teeth (minty gum works for me too).1 -

-im not sure how to do that, I eat a good but of pasta and starting to try incorporate rice and risotto dishes.
-i eat with my 1 year old around 5/5:30 because I hate the idea of her eating alone haha and we eat the same things
-i like that idea but like I said I always seem to be going over 1430 and not sure how to fix this. Even if I don't eat badly I'm still managing to go over quite a bit
Thank you so much for the comment! The toothpaste idea is a good one I will try that x0 -

-some foods cause greater satiety than others - foods that are high-protein and high-fiber tend to help you feel fuller longer. Potatoes, fibrous veggies, meats, etc, can help you not feel as hungry as soon. People are different though; what meals do you feel content after eating, even if they aren't huge?
-I have an 8-year old so I I totally get that. Could you bump it back slowly? Instead of 5:30 this week, shoot for 6:00 next week? Etc...eventually she's going to eat on a fairly normal schedule (my kiddo has karate 2x per week and on those nights we often don't get to eat till 7:30 or 8:00). Or you could always sit with her while she eats, and use that time to read to her or just be with her, rather than eating? Or, nibble on a little bit - munch on some raw veggies dipped in hummus while she has her meal? Then you can eat your real dinner later in the evening?
-How many meals do you eat per day? If you eat 3x per day, if you could find a way to trim 50 cal from each meal, boom, you'll have 150 cal "saved" to eat as a late-night snack? Or if you eat 4x per day, try to find a way to skim 35-40 cal per meal, etc?
Just brainstorming here! Good luck and keep on being a good mom too0 -

I'm actually not sure what makes me feel fuller but I am a vegetrtian.
I could try bump it back to 6, she usually goes down to bed at 7.
I have 3 meals a day usually and one snack but yeah looking at it like that I could really try she'd some calories. This time of year makes it so hard too haha1
