My calorie count was doing great yesterday till a PM text from a friend that he and his wife were dropping by to deliver homemade Christmas Cookies. These were not low cal. Being a good friend I enjoyed a few of them while they spent some time with us. When I entered the cookies in my diary I realized that during the holidays it is a good idea to carve out a few extra calories on a daily basis to make room for the unexpected.....

That's my entire work week!! I have to avoid the workroom, or risk leaving with something unhealthy

YES. Eggnog is my weakness and let me tell you, those calories are INSANE. My work has so many treats right now and I'm at my desk, snacking on herbal tea and celery, telling myself it's worth it in the long run.

My dad dropped off Christmas sugar cookies this morning. He is a kind person and asked before taking them out of his truck so he didn't pressure me (he knows I am working on losing). I decided to accept them because it was only a couple, and they are quite small, so I was able to fit them in my calories. Those surprises are definitely becoming more common though!

When people bring Christmas cookies that I would rather not have around because of the temptation, I may enjoy one or two, but I then take them to someone who lives alone or doesn't bake. I just tell them that I was given them but there are too many for me to eat and thought they may also enjoy some of them. This way they are enjoyed and appreciated.

Yeah I'm having some moderation issues myself. Decided to eat at maintenance through Christmas day.

Usually I have myself a cheat meal once a week but during christmas i've decided to scratch that meal because I will probably eat more calories during family dinners etc. I dunno, we just gotta keep in mind weight loss is not linear, aslong as i've lost weigt by the end of each month i'm happy.
