Weight loss settings

Hi there

Can someone remind me of what is typically recommended with a 40lb weight loss? .5 or 1lb a week?

I'm using a food scale and weighing everything plus a fitbit versa.

    If I recall, I think MFP paints with a broad brush and says no more than 2lb /week.

    I tend to say 1% body weight per week.

    But, give it a few more minutes and I'm sure you'll hear differing opinions.

    You could go 1.5lb for the first 10, or just stick with 1lb per week.
