How to set my activity level

I took a wild guess on my activity level when setting my goals but if you can all help me on which one is right for me I would be greatful.I am 39 year old female who works overnights as a patient care tech. I move a lot when there are call lights going off but for the most part of the shift I am charting and sitting unless its a full moon then I never sit down . I use my work break to either walk the parking garage for 20 mins or do the hospital stairs for 20 mins every time I work. I go home sleep then go for an hour walk at a brisk pace and then back to bed or rest sometimes I fit in a 30 min workout video. I have a fit bit and log and track my food here, I have lost about 33 pds now but I think my weight loss is slowing down even though my goal is a long way off. I set my activity to sedentary because I don't think I move all that much to be honest. Maybe my level is off I just want to set it the right way so I can continue to loose weight.

My fit bit says my average is 12,000 steps per day and I work full time so 9 8 hr shifts in a two week period. I take one rest day but even on that day I am at least walking for 30 mins at a slow pace just to get outside

Your wild guess was very wild!
12,000 steps is massively more than sedentary.

Your exercise video is purposeful exercise and not part of your activity setting if using the MyFitnessPal method of accounting for exercise.

Why not just adjust your calorie goal manually based on your results rather than play about with activity settings? If you have been logging and losing for a long time you have your own data to use.

Yeah, if you're using a fitbit, why aren't you trusting your own data collection? We aren't the numbers holders, you are. :)

Here's the FitBit Group, you may find answers in the FAQ thread in that group.

@momtimesone I don't use a FitBit so can't advise. Is it syncing with your MFP Diary, or just being used manually?

Normally I'd say your job sounds Sedentary as you spend a lot of time sitting entering data and charts. The time you spend walking the stairs or parking garage should be entered separately on the exercise page of your MFP Diary to offset against what you enter on the food page. The end result will give you an idea if you're maintaining a Calorie Deficit or not.
