Count protein from all sources?

A bagel I ate earlier shows 10g protein. Does that 10g count towards my target goal? Or should I only count sources like meat, eggs, fish, dairy...?

Of course it counts, all sources count, even kale.
Most bread products have protein in them.

    Why would it not count?

@MDC2957, my apologies, because your question was sincere, but all I keep thinking of is the Count on Sesame Street.
‘0ne gram of protein, ha ha ha’

Thoughts are the result of wine at midnight, again apologies.

    Cheers, h.

    A very good question.

    Yes, it counts.

Is that protien useful for muscle protien synthesis? If you consumed the recommended 3g of leucine from other food sources during each meal.

Without leucine, MPS cannot take place.

If you are carnivorous and eat a reasonably balanced meals this would not be a problem.

The trace amounts of protien adds up and helps us reach the goal of around 1g of protein per pound of body weight.
