Help with Macros..

Why is it that the percentage of carbs to protein and fat given by mfp is so high? Each gram of carb has the same number of calories as each gram of protein, so why is it the preferred ratio to have much more carbs in the allowance list? Is there an optimum setting anyone has come across with fiddling about with their macros? Or should I just leave it well alone and be more concerned with staying within calories and not going overboard on sat fats?

DO NOT use MFP in. Calculating your macros. Use MFP just to ensure you are hitting your goal.0

Agreed, MFP doesn't really give you the option to manipulate the individual number preferences..only the percentages. Just get as close to your numbers as possible, set them in, then track the difference.0
