You are trying or at the very least "thinking" about trying to get down to size or at the very least a bit more healthy. Not everyone observes the "holidays" ( I don't) and to those of you that do and believe you are alone and no one cares, it's NOT true---I'm posting this thread with YOU in mind. For those of you who don't "observe" the holidays or it's not working out the way you'd like or perhaps you are alone this time of year and feeling a bit out of sorts, I'm writing to let you know you are NOT alone. I'm thinking of you and wishing not merely a Merry Xmas...but a merry rest of your life time and here's to you, here's to hoping to/for you a slimmer, trimmer and healthier (mentally, physically, spiritually, financially, emotionally) and bit more "slimmer" and joyous NOW and new year.
You ARE a success story--perhaps it isn't looking like it just yet, but the best things are yet to come to/for you...I promise! Once more, you are so NOT alone--no matter how much it looks or feels like it. You have Mfp peeps cheering you on (like lil ole me) and a LOT of other Mpf folk as well....BIG TIME!
P.S.

Just curious, why don’t you “observe” the holidays? Your pp is a New Testament biblical verse! Why in the world would you not observe the birth of Christ if you are referencing the Word of God!?3

{{{{{ Hugs }}}}}}} Thank you so much for your question. By The Grace of God alone, I'm not the type of person that goes along with "stuff" just because "everyone does it--so it must be good or even okay". I do not go along with nor participate nor "blindly follow" in/with many many MANY things that the "church/religion/"Christianity" and the world deems as right/righteous/good. I do not depend on "the church/religion/"Christianity"/traditional religion(s)" to lead and guide my close and personal walk with God (The God of The Bible, The God of Abraham, Issac, Jacob and Jesus). I am Led of The Holy Spirit, to be my Teacher, my Guide to/with following Jesus, not man nor "traditions of men", period. I'm also a lover of studying and I'm a life-long researcher of history and especially "church" history and love to investigate and diligently study ALL of the "who, what, why, when and hows" of a lot of things, especially cultural traditions and the motives/reasons/history behind them, for myself...rather than just "believing and following what the "church--and so called "Christianity/churchianity" promotes and does and am generally against the majority of what the crowd/the multitudes (the "broad way:) think and do. I tend to choose "the narrow way" rather than the broad way in every area of my life, especially when it comes to the "worship/practice" that is popular and again, the "everyone does it this way, so it must be right, right?
May I most humbly and sincerely suggest that you do even a wee bit of research on the origins of Christmas (and other "holidays" as well) and then you will discover/find out for yourself why I won't give myself over to observing any of them.
Thanks again ever so very much for your reply!!!5 -
It sounds as though you think people who choose to celebrate the birth of Christ in December must just be uneducated followers who don’t think for themselves, or that they have chosen to celebrate with a yearly festival because everyone else does. Sigh. Your response is even sadder than your first post.4

I love history and I love reading so like a lot of people i have come to realize that many of the holidays have "questionable " origins. This however still does not stop me from attending Christmas dinner with my family. For me it's not so much the holiday but the fact that I love seeing all my family members together, its always a great time. Anyway to each his own, follow your own path,as long as it makes you happy.1

Hmmmmm...that is certainly ONE way (not the ONLY way) to look at what I've shared, for sure. I fully respect your perspective and thoughts on the(se) matter(s). Here's to hoping you the best and that you will achieve the very ultimate in success in reaching your goals/endeavors and accomplishing all that you hope and dream.
