Returning MFP member here. Where can I find my long time food list? Now I can't even find my coffee listed correctly. Have the MFP food entries disappeared and are they entirely replaced by user entries? Is there some way to recover my 2014/15 food list?

I use the app, and things show up differently on the web vs the app (so take this with a grain of salt).

Mfp database entries are still there. I think they have a *. They don’t have anything on the app (or I’ve never seen it).

USDA entries are usually (but not always) correct (as the ones that are user entered can be off).

Entries are now “verified” (on the web) so an entry with a green checkmark has been confirmed to be correct by multiple users. There are verified entries for a cup of pop tarts though so that’s not a guarantee either. I think the website says how many people verified that pop tarts come in a serving size or cup (the app only shows the checkmark):

There seem to have been some changes in how the search results are sorted. I haven’t yet figured out what the secret is, but sometimes my exact match is 2 or 3 pages down while irrelevant things are on page one (I’ll search for a particular brand of canned mushrooms and page 1 returns Brussels sprouts, milk, peanuts and some other brands of mushrooms while the exact name match is a few pages down).

I know nutrition info changes based on packaging and methods and things so products I’ve been logging since 2011
    occasionally have new nutrition info.

I don’t know if you can scroll back to some of your diary entries from 2013/14 and copy those entries to today (and then they will show up in your recent food list). I tried to scroll back but after the third month, I was told I was the lucky winner of a $1000 Amazon gift card. So I’m unable to confirm if my older entries are still there.

If all else fails, you can ask the helpdesk if there’s a way to refresh your recent food list (I’m guessing foods you haven’t logged in some particular period of time are removed as people wouldn’t want to scroll through a bunch of stuff for they don’t eat anymore).

Good luck! It’s frustrating enough finding the right entries the first time.
