When I quit, after 3 years of smoking, I went to whyquit.com several times a day. It's kind of like MFP, but for quitting smoking, it helped me tremendously. You can do this, we are all behind you!4

Hey Hun. I am doing alright. I actually woke up and forgot what day it was and out of complete habit went out and smoked when I let the pup out. But half way through I realized what I was doing and put it out. Clean since then. But struggling6 -

You can do it, you're stronger than that poison.2

I keep telling myself that I don't "actually" want one, that it is just my brain being confused. I WILL win5

This is awesome right here! I use to be a social smoker, had an ex girlfriend that used to smoke and being around her and her family got me in the habit. I think what got me to quit was moving to a vape and occasion cigarette started tasting gross and one day just quit both... you'll get there, you've made the first step!1

How's it going @pudgy1977? Still hanging in there, my friend?1

Hey my fellow Singles. I have been doing okay. I can't lie, I have had 3 total since Tuesday morning. But, just like the health journey, there is going to be hiccups. I will say that I already feel healthier! Now if I could just get the cravings to subside.8 -

I didn't read through all the responses but when I quit years ago, when I had a craving I would tell myself just wait 5 more minutes and busy my mind with other stuff during that 5 minutes. By the time that 5 minutes was up the strong craving was usually gone. If not, I would tell myself just 5 more minutes. I took it 5 minutes at a time and it worked. Haven't had a cigarette in over 15 years and I don't miss it all. In fact, cigarette smoke makes me gag now.7 -

Hi Pudgy.
I was just checking in with you. Even though you had a few since the proposed cut off date. It just doesn't matter.
Pick up some nicorette patches at the store. Slap one on tomorrow morning.... right right right when you wake up. Dont let anything distract you until you slap it on. I used 2 boxes of those for 28 days I think.
Heres a pic of my vape. It's a "Baby Priv"
I know some people would argue about using a vape as a crutch during those smoking trigger times. But I really don't care. It still has 600 less harmful things in the vape juice, than regular Marlboros do. I'm just glad my vape juice doesn't have arsenic in it. Just the thought of consuming arsenic every time I smoked freaks me out.
So again, I have chosen not to smoke Marlboros (regular cigarettes) since May 3rd, 2018. Going on 9 months. And I never said that I quit. I said I'm going chose not to smoke for as long as possible. Although my doctor said she considers me a quitter now.
Currently I have the "Killer Custard 6mg juice" in my vape. And I don't sit and suck on this all day long. Only at those regular trigger moments.
Right when you wake up.
Your bitchey sister is calling
Edit: My bitchey sister calling.
You get in the car
After you eat....
Sometimes like that.
I hope your birthday party was fun. Take it cheesy & I'll be checking on you girlie.

That's great Jen!
You can always try the not now approach...
Plan on having the next cigarette eventually but when the craving comes just say
"Not now, or maybe later, or maybe the next craving, I'll pass this time, I've got to get use to not having these so I'll pass this craving and maybe I'll have it tomorrow or the next day, or later tonight"
Might work better then just holding out until you can't take it anymore...
Just keep kicking it down the road...
My friends father always said this was his method for quitting alcohol and it saved me from the office pizza many times 🤷🏽♂️😂... I probably wouldn't have been able to give up soda otherwise2 -

That's a good mind set Jess!1 -
I hope your weekend cravings are ok! When it comes to food anyway, I eat better when I have a routine (work days) and then the weekends come and I lack the structure to stay strong sometimes.
Just keep busy! Go for a hike, or walk, or window shop, deep clean something that you've been putting off, have coffee with a friend....
Anyway, cheering you on!0 -

Unfortunately probably stuck at home this weekend as it is dangerously cold out here. Stuck at home = super bored. Fingers crossed0 -

Well in that case, if you are feeling up to it...you could either not take any home or just take a few home to last you all weekend. Since you're "stuck" that will limit you no matter what, right?1 -

Do you crochet, cross stitch, do puzzles, scrapbook? Anything to keep your hands busy?1
