You can drink vinegar whenever and wherever you want and in any quantity you want. It's not going to help you burn fat faster so it really doesn't matter

If you're drinking it for weight loss, stop. It doesn't work. There are about 100 threads about it in these forums (you can search) which discuss it at length.

Nice in a salad dressing though.

Why are you drinking it in the first place?

am lost as to the connection between ACV, or any vinegar, or any food - and menstruation.

why would time in cycle make any difference????

Sounds like a collision between bad information about ACV and bad information about menstruation. ACV doesn't affect weight loss, or melt fat, or anything like that, and menstruation doesn't affect what's safe for you to eat, or how it affects your body, other than cramping issues, which aren't typically food-specific.

Well, back in grandma's day vinegar douches WERE recommended for cleansing after the period stopped. Maybe that information has morphed.

Back in grandma's day, a lot of other things were used for that too. :::shudder::: Definitely wouldn't eat that stuff for sure!

    QFT.

I wonder sometimes how I can't come up with silly ideas and make a fortune after seeing how people buy into all this stuff. 🤣

It requires quite a lack of scruples to come up with such silly ideas AND sell them. Because seriously, you can't believe the people marketing such stuff don't know that it's not going to work...

Maybe I should think bigger like buying stock in Heinz Vinegar or other mfg. Its used for household cleaning and well, the thing you mentioned earlier and so much more. 🤣🤣

Ah, but without "The Mother" it's just plain old unmagical vinegar. ;)

Ick. Of course, using anything for that has now been shown to be bad for you so there goes another use for vinegar down the drain.

Not so fun fact: this purpose is why Lysol was invented.

That's exactly the sort of "other things" I was referring to.

I've heard it can unclog that drain, though.

What on earth? Now I've heard everything.

OP! Menstruation is not some magical time when certain foods will hurt you. Also, ACV has no special powers. There's some evidence it slightly slows the absorption of carbs - not enough to make any difference unless you are diabetic and with limited effect even then. Unless you enjoy the flavor (and I can't imagine that you do) stop drinking it. It makes good salad dressings and marinades.

My friend was told by her doctor to stop drinking it as it was causing her irreversible damage to her insides. Hopefully you are not impacted in this way

ACV is neutral as far as health benefits/problems. It neither helps nor hurts the majority of people. Some find it makes acid reflux worse (which could be what was happening to your friend) but others find it helps their reflux. There is no reason to drink it.

She didnt elaborate and i didnt care to ask her as drinking vinegar is strange to me anyway. I use vinegar to descale my kettle and it comes out so shiny and new so i wont be drinking it just to be safe

I use it for cooking but can't stand the smell so I don't clean with it and can't imagine drinking it. I make up a 3% solution with citric acid which cleans and descales just as well without the smell.
