So I am not big on veggies and fruits. Like at all.
Like I dont eat them at all.

I'm not fond of the taste and texture of most foods, so for a long time I've been limited. I'm trying to branch out and try them in new ways. My first stop was a drink.

I've found this V8 V-fusion drink and I like it but I'm curious if its helping or hurting me in the long run.

I plan on trying out smoothies made from home with real fruit and veggies but this was my first step and wanted to see what others thought about it.

    What are your goals?

If you are trying to lose weight, drinking your calories can be problematic, as many people find beverages don't fill them up. But if you log the v8 and it fits your calories without leaving you hungry, I'm not sure how it could hurt you?

A great thing about veggies is they can add volume to a meal without adding many calories. You can try adding diced or spiraled or sliced veggies into foods you are already eating. But there's nothing wrong with drinking your veggies if the calories work out for you IMHO.

If you were eating no fruits or veggies, but like the V-8 Fusion, then that's an improvement. Fruits and veggies are really good for us. :)

Another thing you can try is blending veggies into things, like into soup or into the sauce for mac'n'cheese. Cauliflower or white beans are especially good for this, as they blend in color-wise with a lot of foods. Mashed winter squash is another thing that blends in well, as it has kind of a cheese-type color.

Consider different ways of cooking veggies to see if you like them better. Quite a few people here say that roasting veggies in the oven was a real game-changer for them: The texture can be more appealing, and flavor is richer. Consider starting with roasting things that have a sweeter flavor, like sweet potatoes or parsnips or carrots: Sometimes that sweetness is a good on-ramp to liking more veggies.

    Best wishes!

I really need to loose weight, I'm 220~ (I fluctuate between 220-228) and I'm trying to inch toward 160.

Sure, start with the V8 and add some protein powder and something for fat. Then you can add a little fresh spinach, and so on, until you are having smoothies with fresh fruits and veggies. You can still use the V8 for the liquid and the flavor.

Actually - when strawberries aren't in season I like frozen strawberries for smoothies. They are cheaper, have no waste, and don't spoil. Right now I have blueberries and raspberries in my freezer as well.

I used to not like olives or extra virgin olive oil, but thanks to a taste test at a Whole Foods I found one EVOO I like, and now I know I like certain brands of it, usually the ones that come from South America. I kept trying different olives until I found those that I like, which are Kalamata in jars, and especially oil-cured olives. So palates can certainly be expanded :)
