So I have tried watching my calories for the past 2 weeks. It’s been a disaster to be honest. I guess with the holidays ( I remember right before Christmas Eve he said why would you start a diet right before Christmas) I guess he was right. I would do good for a couple of days and then it was Christmas Eve then Christmas. Leftover galore and there is always unhealthy stuff in my kitchen 😫
What can I do to stay on track?! I would like to loose 25-30 pounds by may 31st!
Please add me as a friend! I could use the motivation

Hi! I struggle when there are goodies all around too. Are you able to get any of the leftovers out of your place or freeze them so they are not easily available? I have about 50 lbs to lose. I've done it before and I'm so frustrated I have to start all over.

get rid of the junk food out of your house... put healthy good food in your fridge and stick to your diet..and then start exercising. eat less..move more. thats should do it.

My parents always sends me leftovers. there isn’t much left over there is a few things BUT there is some amazing spicy shrimp linguine that my dad made that I adore. I’m going to throw away the rest tomorrow 😭 New Year’s Day I’m going o measure everything out that I can ( every holiday we go to my parents house)

I recently had twins with a c section but I go Thursday so hopefully I can be cleared to exercise. I did buy healthy food to eat today for the rest of the week. It’s hard because my husband gets and eats whatever like junk

I'm not sure anyone does a great job cutting back over the holidays. Don't get discouraged, you didn't gain the weight in two weeks and these two weeks of eating as usual won't hurt your weight loss efforts in the long term.

One tactic a lot of people use to survive the holidays is learning how many calories you need a day to maintain your current weight. Then give yourself a few extra, up to your maintenance level, on special occasions. That way you can hit pause on your diet and at least know you aren't going backwards.

When the holidays are past, you're going to have to come to terms with the leftovers your parents send. Either start turning them down, or eat a small portion of the calorie heavy foods and fill up with lower calorie foods. Just keep logging everything honestly, and eventually you will learn which choices work for you!

Starting right before the holidays is always a disaster. It’s hard to make changes to your daily habits when it’s a time of year where many days you aren’t doing your norm.

Just keep tracking the calories. Do your best each day to make good choices.
