New Year's Eve Party

Had a New Year's Eve party at my place today. I made Beef Wellington but I used boneless rib-eye steaks instead of tenderloin roast. It took a lot more dough to wrap each rib-eye, but to keep within my calorie count today, I only had a small piece of the pastry dough plus I trimmed and cut down a special piece of rib-eye for my Wellington. I was really surprised to see that I stayed within my calorie and sodium count for the day considering all the food I ate. I even had a very small piece of carrot cake. I did cut down what I ate for breakfast and lunch and I really enjoyed my dinner and all the good company! Is it wrong to cut down two meals so that you can enjoy one? Let me know your thoughts and what you do for parties.

Nope , I do it when there's a special occasion or treat day... I see nothing wrong with it.
