The healthy Med diet actually ranked only so-so for weight loss, as compared to many others. Probably because it is so easy to overeat beans, pasta, and olive oil even on a mostly meatless diet.5

Probably because it's not really a weight loss diet but an eating pattern. This is what US News said: "Because this is an eating pattern – not a structured diet – you're on your own to figure out how many calories you should eat to lose or maintain your weight, what you'll do to stay active and how you'll shape your Mediterranean menu."
They don't suggest it's easier to overeat eating that way.7 -
No surprise, Keto ranked almost dead last as usual. We need some "snake juice diet", breatharianism, ACV/detox nonsense to appear better by comparison (lmfao). Pretty easy to make almost any diet work (not counting stuff like "snake juice diet", breatharianism, etc.) if one can actually stay accountable, adherent, & consistent.5
