Understand this. Even if you don't have a Facebook account (I don't) your personal data will be transmitted if you use the MyFitnessPal app on your Android phone. Just putting this out for discussion.

Why would they do that? To get more attention?0 -

I actually know finding me on Facebook.
That's why I'm not on FB. If it is too much effort to remember me/text/call me then I think it says something about the friendship.1 -
Doesn't really matter to me, my friends and family on Facebook already know I'm a savage. I'm friends on Facebook with a couple people here. I'm not any different on here than I am on other social media sites or in real life.
I can understand how certain people will be concerned about this. Like the ones who have a significant other and pretend they're single on MFP. 😏2 -

It's that place where lots of people fool other people into thinking that they live a fantastic life and their spouse/S.O. is the best partner that ever lived.6 -

Unless one lives in a cave and avoids cell phones, intererwebs, cable TV, and credit card transactions, one’s data is out there being bought and sold and analyzed and used. I expect to get ads for caves on FB now. Or at least I *hope* to.0

I didn't see any personal data.
I did see the sort of phone, the date and time. I didn't see any name, userid, or other data in the examples of what was transmitted.
So data was sent.
How personal that data is is up for debate.0 -

It seems odd. If an individual with an app that sends data to facebook does not have a facebook account, where does the data go?0

To Facebook. It's person data, not necessarily FB user data.0 -
